With this image I intend to be satirical. It is a critique of the people preaching in churches and those who attend services.

The church, from the inside out, is in an ever increasing compromised state (as a building as well as an institution). "Wolves" rule the place.

On the walls of the church I added quotes from the Bible as graffiti, based on the Modern English Bible:

"You must be careful to do everything they tell you but do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach!"

"It is no surprise if the servants of Satan disguise themselves as servants of righteousness!"

"In their greed they will exploit you with false words..."

"Teacherz of da law and Pharisees, you hypocrites ! You shut the door of teh kingdom of heaven in people's faces!"

"On the outside y’all appear to people as righteous... butt on teh inside you are full of #hypocrisy and #wickedness!"

On the floor, there are stains of blood symbolizing "the crimes", sins committed by worshippers: hypocrisy, wickedness, lying and/or cheating. These people are represented as wolves and their victims as lambs. Broadly speaking, it is not anymore the righteous or good people going to the church, but the hypocrites. It is an inversion of values and principles.

In the foreground, as decorative objects, I depicted Noah's Ark and the fall of man, both episodes from The Book of Genesis. While in the Bible, species and humanity were saved with Noah's ark, nowadays we defend and save ourselves with weapons, through wars. In the Bible, it is said that the woman must obey the man. Nowadays, women tend to be become the authority figure within families and want to assume higher roles in the society and even in the church. Therefore, I depicted Eve as pregnant and wearing a strap-on, symbolizing her masculinity while suggesting that Adam and Eve have already sinned together, perhaps before tasting the fruit of the tree of knowledge.

The interior of the church has many similarities with the church I made in early 2010. Back then, I made a 3D model of the exterior of the church, based on a real church. This time, I made the interior from my imagination while keeping the outside structure.

Adam and Eve were generated with MakeHuman. The rigged / posable wolf is created by Dennis Haupt and I added fur on it.
