Loneliness of a disabled person

Share link

This t-shirt design illustrates different couples: straight, lesbian and gay. The last element is a disabled man without a partner. The disabled person is bending over in the wheelchair to express sadness. The t-shirt poses the inevitable question: Why?

Besides the interrogative nature of the message of this t-shirt, I try to emphasize that the sexual minorities have a greater level of acceptance in the current societies and are better integrated socially, than the disabled people. The disabled people are often marginalized and alone, because they are excluded from anything related to romantic relationships and sexuality. The communities of disabled people should work united towards a stronger disability rights movement and demand a better social status everywhere and anywhere.
