The stairs are a symbol of inaccessibility, of a world with barriers. The common "enemy" for disabled people are the myriad of barriers that they encounter, such as: inaccessible public transportation, infrastructure or buildings, and services not adapted to people with special needs. Disabled people must unite and fight for their rights and to strongly demand accessibility: accessible public transportation, ramps, elevators, audio signals, a wider adoption of sign language, braille and others.
